  • Winfried STEILING, Ph.D.

    The diploma in biochemistry was finished in 1985 at the University of Tübingen and his Ph.D. in 1988 at the University of Göttingen. Since 1998 he is a certified toxicologist of the DGPT and EUROTOX. From 1989 till his early retirement in 2018 he was responsible as a senior toxicologist for the safety of global consumer goods at Henkel AG & Co KGaA. He was a member of several committees and expert groups like the OECD, Cosmetics Europe, and ECETOC. During this time, he published about 100 articles and abstracts in international scientific journals. He is giving regular lectures on toxicological topics at the University of Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Leipzig, and Brussels and supervised toxicological master theses. Since mid-2018 he is working as a free consultant (dwsTOX) and joint the Scientific Advisory Board of JRF Global in Vapi, India.

  • B. Bhaskar Gollapudi, Ph.D.

    He is a Senior Managing Scientist in Exponent’s Health Sciences Center for Toxicology and Mechanistic Biology located in Alexandria, VA. He specializes in molecular toxicology/chemical carcinogenesis with emphasis on the identification of mode of action and human relevance of toxicity findings. He has more than 30 years of research and issues management experience at a major (agro)chemical company addressing the safety of a diverse portfolio of substances. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis, the official journal of the US Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society. He serves on a number of scientific committees including the Committee on Toxicology of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences and the International Workshops on Genotoxicity Testing (IWGT). He is the recipient of the 2014 Arnold J. Lehman Award from the Society of Toxicology in recognition of his contributions to the field of risk assessment and chemical regulation.

  • Swaminathan Subramaniam MBBS (Madras Univ), MD (PGIMER), PhD (U Penn)

    He is a physician-scientist-corporate executive turned entrepreneur. His current interests include preventive and wellness based interventions to optimize health, primarily focused on sleep and nutrition. Swami completed his degrees in Medicine (M.B., B.S. Madras University) and Clinical Pharmacology (M.D. Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh) before moving to the University of Pennsylvania where he studied for a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology. He then worked at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke in Bethesda where he carried out electrophysiological studies of NMDA receptors in hippocampal slices in the context of epilepsy. Swami returned to India in 1995 to take up a position at Dr. Reddy’s Research Foundation as Head of Clinical Research and DMPK. He led the team that filed the first IND from Dr. Reddy’s for a new molecule. He subsequently moved through different roles in renowned companies like Aurigene Discovery Technologies (MD and COO), Sanmar (Chief Executive – Research Businesses), Rheoscience A/S (Head – India operations and Business Development), Merck and Co., Inc. (Head, Licensing – India, and SE Asia) and Abbott Nutrition (Head – R&D, India). He has recently founded Nutrea a start-up nutrition company based in Bangalore, India. He has published and presented extensively in the areas of neuropharmacology, drug discovery, DMPK, entrepreneurship, and innovation strategy. He was awarded a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and was a Chevening scholar of the British Foreign Commonwealth office at the London School of Economics in 1999. He has attended executive programs at Stanford GSB, Indian School of Business and Indian Institute of Management.
