We are pleased to introduce Dr. Kalumbu Malekani, popularly known as Malek. He has joined JRF Global as a VP of Scientific and Commercial strategy, starting January 1st, 2026.
Dr. Malek brings around 30 years of global experience in environmental risk sciences, environmental fate and metabolism, and regulatory strategy across agrochemical, chemical, and life-science sectors. He is widely recognized for his deep and hands-on scientific expertise. His innate abilities of blending his scientific expertise with strong commercial acumen, will help in creating smart, solutions meeting the regulatory needs of our sponsors. We are confident these abilities will be of great help for JRF’s scientific teams to build extensive, future-ready study portfolios aligned with international regulatory expectations. I must add, he has great network and deep understanding of the Global Regulatory markets including US, EU, and Japan.
Prior to joining JRF Global, Dr. Malek held several senior leadership roles at Smithers, DuPont, and Bayer, including executive-level scientific and commercial positions, where he was instrumental in expanding environmental risk services, developing new capabilities, and supporting global clients through complex regulatory pathways.
Dr. Malek holds a Ph.D. in Environmental and Soil Chemistry, along with advanced graduate training in chemistry, applied analytical sciences, and business administration. He is an ACS AGRO Fellow, reflecting his significant scientific contributions and leadership within the agrochemical and regulatory science community.
At JRF Global, Dr. Malek will play a key role in strengthening and expanding the company’s portfolio of environmental fate, metabolism, and ecotoxicology capabilities, as well as supporting our sales and marketing team enhancing global client engagement and brand visibility.
